Search

Performs a search for nearby places and addresses.

Usage

.bsq search [search term]

Example

Check in to a nearby place

Lets you check in to a nearby Foursquare venue. BlindSquare will list places around you and when you have selected the right one you can check in. If you write a comment for your check-in, it will be included.

Usage

.bsq checkin [comment]

.bsq checkin Hello you! BlindSquare will check you in to a place near you adding “Hello you! as a comment to your check-in

Leave a tip to a nearby place

Lets you leave a tip about a nearby place. BlindSquare will list places around you and when you have selected the right one you can leave your tip.

Usage

.bsq tip comment

Example

.bsq tip Nice athmosphere! BlindSquare will leave a tip to a place near you adding “Nice athmospehere!” as a tip

Like nearby place

Lets you like a nearby Foursquare place. BlindSquare will list places around you, and when you have selected the right one, it will be liked If you write a comment, it will be included as a tip.

Usage

.bsq like [comment]

Dislike nearby place

Launches BlindSquare to dislike a nearby place. BlindSquare will list places around you and when you have selected the right one it is disliked. If you write a comment, it will be included as a tip.

Usage

.bsq dislike [comment]

Add Point of Interest

Lets you add your current location to the My Places list. If required, you can provide a place name and an Alert Distance in meters or feet.

Usage

.bsq add [Name of the place] [Alert distance]

Example
Command Description
.bsq add Home Adds your current location to the My Places list naming it “Home”
.bsq add Work place 50 Adds your current location to the My Places list naming it “Work place”. It will have an alert distance of 50 meters or feet, depending on your BlindSquare settings.

Radius

To influence how many places BlindSquare reads to you, you can increase or decrease the radius.

.bsq radius 200 Sets the radius to 200 meters or feet, depending on your BlindSquare settings.

Look Around

Activates Look Around mode in BlindSquare.

Usage

Where Am I?

Announces your current address and other information about your location.

Around Me

You can activate the Around Me feature when you want to hear a list of Foursquare places and of your own saved points around you

GPS Info

BlindSquare will read out your current GPS accuracy, your heading, and your speed.

Usage

Navigate

Lets you navigate to one of your contacts or a place on your My Places list using a third-party navigation app installed on your device. This is equivalent to using the Plan a Route feature on a Place Summary screen.

Tracking

BlindSquare will announce tracking information for a place on your My Places list or Contacts
